2023 - How to Renew Drivers License in Less Than 30 (Valid For 10 Years)

Very recently, I had to renew my drivers license which is going to expire on April 8, 2023. Admittedly, anything that involves Philippine government processing does not excite me. Who would be? There's so much inefficiencies, graft and red tape! Yup, that is our government. Simply great in wasting our time and precious money.

LTO Robinson's Las Pinas Branch

But that soon changed when I went to Robinson's Las Pinas LTO satellite branch to renew my drivers license last Wednesday, March 29, 2023. I arrived at exactly 12:00 noon and I was expecting LTO personnel to be on lunch. Darn! I was wrong! LOL There were staff ready to process my business that day. I was also surprised that a staff approached me to assist. At first, I thought he was going to offer quick and easy processing of my renewal but with a "charge" (red tape). Boy, I was wrong. He was decent and offered his assistance and provided the needed info for me to renew, complete with the rate and where to go.

Here are the quick and easy steps how to renew your drivers license in 2023:

  1. Create an account in LTO Portal. Link is HERE. Jot down your LTMS No. You will be needing this all the time during the renewal activity.
  2. Take the online assessment by going to E-Learning > Driver's License Renewal Course. You need to pass this and print a copy of the certificate once you are done.
  3. You can now visit LTO branch. I suggest you go to Robinson's LTO branch. So efficient there.
  4. First thing you need to do in LTO is go to the medical screening: blood pressure, basic medical info and eye examination. Payment for the medical assessment is PHP400.00.
  5. After medical, go to window once with your medical clearance, E-Learning certificate & old copy of your license.
  6. Wait for you name to be called at window 2 where your picture will be taken along with the information needed in your ID. You need to pay PHP580.00 for the renewal charge.
  7. After 5 - 10 mins., your ID is ready and you only need to sign and accept it.
All in all, I spent 25 mins renewing my drivers license this year. So far, the most efficient experience I had in our local government.

Moira Dela Torre for Maria Clara Sagria Virgin

T he media launch today we attended is extra special for me. It's quite special in a sense it brings back childhood memories of a favourite drink in my family,  Maria Clara Sangria.  Growing up, I was not allowed to try and drink it because of the alcohol content of the drink. But that's all in the past now. Today, we witnessed that   Distileria Limtuaco and Co. Inc. launches a non-alcoholic drink called, "Maria Clara Sangria Virgin". Moira dela Torre for Maria Clara Sangria Virgin It is the non-alcoholic version of the classic  Maria Clara Sangria we all know.
