Essilor Ph to Host Digital Concert In Celebration of World Sight Day 2021 (EssiLove Night)

October, 8, Friday, Fierce Blogs attended the media press launch of Essilor Phils, still the world's leading ophthalmic optics company, shared insightful information & timely presentation on eye health and how we need to adapt our ways given the current pandemic we are facing.  The one hour Zoom session talked about how the current demands of school and work (remote) became extremely harsh to our eyes. We spend gruelling hours in front of the computer and laptop., most specially zoom or video conferencing is needed nowadays.

This is the reason why cases of eye strain, eye fatigue and even end daily headache increased ever since global pandemic started last 2020. As the Marketing Manager of Essilor PH , Ms. Jinky Navo-Palteng, sees it, “Our sense of sight is essential to our day to day living. But with increased screen time during the lockdown we were exposed to UV and harmful lights, we have pushed our eyes to the limits which may have led us to experience eye strain and eye fatigue more often".

Similar sentiments were echoed by Dr. Anthony Ayson, Essilor Philippines Lens Consultant, who shared informative presentation on ways how to better cope with the "new normal' and how we can lessen the eye strain daily school/work brings. The critical message that was shared during the media launch is to understand that there is a specific Essilor lens type depending on your age, function and also condition.

Subsequently, we are celebrating World Sight Day 2021 this coming October 14, 2021. To kick of the said event, Essilor Ph is hosting a digital concert, EssiLove Night, showcasing popular folk & pop rock band in the Philippines, Ben & Ben to raise awareness about poor vision and the need to have a regular eye exam.
